We teach AI because the future depends on how humans use it
AI is changing everything - the way we work, learn, create, and lead. But it doesn't have to make the world colder or less human.
At AI Night School, we believe optimism is a choice - and a responsibility. We call it AI Optimism: the belief that, when used wisely, technology can help us build the world we want to live in, not the one we fear.
Our mission is to make AI practical, ethical, and empowering - so every person, team, and organisation can use it to make better decisions, work more creatively, and have more time for what really matters.
We don't just teach AI skills. We teach the mindset to shape a better future with them.
Learning with purpose. Impact that scales.
AI Night School is a social enterprise. Every programme we deliver helps fund AI training for young people through our partnership with Sherpas - a pioneering education initiative helping teenagers prepare for an AI-first world of work.
By learning with us, you're not just building capability in your own organisation - you're helping equip the next generation with the tools and mindset to thrive in the future.
We believe AI literacy is a civic skill, not a luxury. And the only way to build a fair, human future is to make that literacy accessible to all.
When leaders learn, we lift others with us.
The AI Optimist behind the Night School
Hugo Pickford-Wardle is an AI strategist, designer, and educator who has been exploring the human side of technology for over 15 years. He founded London's first AI consultancy, working with leaders across industries to turn emerging technology into practical, ethical, people-first solutions.
Hugo's work sits at the intersection of strategy, systems thinking, and storytelling - helping organisations not just use AI, but understand what it means for who they are.
He's also the founder of Sherpas, a social enterprise preparing young people for the future of work, and the voice behind AI Optimism, a movement built on the belief that the best way to face change is with curiosity and compassion.
"AI isn't replacing people - it's revealing what makes us human."
We teach AI as part of a sustainable, human future
AI Night School was built on the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) responsibility - because progress means nothing if it isn't responsible.
Sustainability, humanity, and integrity aren't extras. They're the syllabus.
We teach Frugal AI - using technology consciously to minimise waste and carbon impact. Our programmes help organisations integrate AI into their sustainability and biodiversity strategies, showing how AI can accelerate solutions to climate challenges, not worsen them.
We teach Human-First AI. That means addressing real human fears - about job losses, relevance, and the future of work. Our courses build psychological safety, confidence, and hope - helping people see AI as an ally, not a threat.
Ethics is built into everything we do. From data privacy to bias awareness, we teach how to implement AI responsibly, transparently, and with accountability at every level of an organisation.
Because the future of AI is a human story
The question isn't whether AI will change our world - it already has. The question is who will shape that change, and what values they'll bring to it.
We believe the answer is us - all of us - learning, leading, and creating together.
That's what AI Night School exists for. Not to teach machines - but to teach people how to stay human.
Learn AI. Stay Human.
